This
is one of the best musical themed books I have ever read. This book is
a kid-friendly how to involving all things (positive) about being a rock 'n' roll
star. Everything from the air guitar, to the crazy hair, to performing
for your audience is covered in this book. Its a great read for kids
of all ages- and is even better if the kids act out the instructions as
you read. Of course there is so much more to actually learning music
and gaining musical talent, but this book is great for sparking the
imagination. Before you know it, any kid you read this to will be
forming a pretend band with the neighbor kids and rocking out in your
backyard.
Audrey Vernick takes
the world of rock star and puts it into a very age appropriate
perspective for children. She invites the to take a journey into your
imagination (come on parents, join in the fun too. Your kids will love
it!). Kirstie Edmunds illustrations are are a great accompaniment
to this book as well. There book only needs one word to describe it- FUN!
Happy Reading!

I am a reader, I feel like I always have been. I am constantly surrounded by books in both my personal and professional worlds. I have read excessively since the second grade. I have attempted, again and again, to keep a list of the books I've read and how I felt about them but so far have been unsuccessful. This is an attempt to keep track of the books I'm reading, and my thoughts about them. My goal is to publish at least one review a week (no promises though). Wish me luck!
