Fiction Addiction Book Tours: "How Not To Murder Your Grumpy" by Carol E. Wyer

How do you keep a Grumpy occupied? That is the question for today. I have tried everything imaginable and most of the ideas in How Not to Murder Your Grumpy were tried and tested on my own curmudgeon. It is very difficult to keep a Grumpy occupied.
As part of the cover reveal for How Not to Murder Your Grumpy reveal to me the ways you have managed to keep your man busy and, dare I say it, happy!
Tell me your wackiest suggestion for keeping your man entertained and win a Grumpy Kit and a Grumpy badge for him to wear at all times.

  1. I found it entertaining...er....helped to entertain the grumpy old dear, to suggest he went for a lovely long walk. Off a very short pier. He didn't enjoy it so much though....There's no pleasing grumpy sometimes. ;)

  2. I tell him there is a spider that needs getting rid of and he spends ages looking for it!

    1. Bwah-ha-ha! You are becoming so funny I might have to start getting worried about you soon, Nikki. I am in danger of losing my 'funny' crown.

  3. When he thinks a bird may be nesting in one of his many nesting boxes in the garden, he will sit silently watching for hours. It works better if it's true obviously, but it doesn't hurt just to mention that I may have seen a bird bobbing out of one!

    1. Top stuff, Amanda! I just need to buy a nesting box. Mine loves birds. hey! I could get one of those stuffed birds to plant in it. That'll keep him occupied for months!

  4. Just give my man some tools - any DIY job - big or small! and that will keep him occupied for ever :) Handy to have around the home too.

Thanks for hosting Carol today Melanie.

    1. What a good idea! Just off to B&Q to buy mine a tool kit :D

  5. Buying IKEA flat packs usually always helps. The instructions are often so badly written, it takes forever to assemble - which means my Grumpy is busy and I can watch some girley TV :-)

    1. Hahaha! Can you hear the film above the chuntering and swearing? I daren't do that. My Grumpy would get into such a funk, I'd have to assemble the wretched thing myself. Love the idea though.

  8. Late again to the party. My grumpy gets bored very easily and keeping him amused is difficult. It's either a visit to garden centre or B&Q or best, a visit to Makros where they do a wide range of tools and he can spend hours looking at them and figuring out what he could make with them, yet moans at me if I so much as glimpse at the jewellery counter. Sometimes, I just can't win. Great suggestions, love the bird box one! X

  9. Hi Carol, I tried to post on here with a rather radical suggestion for keeping one's 'grumpy' middle aged partner entertained and happy but it seems not to have posted. Personally, I think my suggestion is a lot more fun than a visit to the garden centre or DIY shed - and also free and burns calories...
