Maybe you've heard of Ingrid Law. She wrote the books Savvy and Scumble. She recently came to my library and among other programs, put on a writing workshop. It was such a pleasure to meet her!

Book Signing with Ellen Hopkins
It's no secret that I absolutely love Ellen Hopkins' writing. So I of course I jumped at the chance to see her speak a few weekends ago at the Durango Public Library. I had a great time- she even signed my Kindle cover (going to start asking authors to sign it so I'll have a whole collection). If you get the opportunity to see her speak, I really suggest you do. She is amazing!!

Meeting Author Conrad Storad!
I got to meet a very interesting author this week, Mr. Conrad Storad. Storad writes fun non-fiction books for kids- and yes! They really are fun! I picked up a copy of Lizards for Lunch and Don't Call Me Pig! But shh...they're Christmas gifts, don't tell!
