LOS ANGELES /NEW YORK/TORONTO (February 4, 2013) –Avalon Web of Magic, the tween fantasy adventure series by best-selling author and ecological conservationist Rachel Roberts, continues to grow its online fan following. As they did with the Twilight series, girls are creating their own Avalon movie trailers on YouTube. With over 2 million copies sold in print, the Avalon series is now being published as a series of eBooks by Premier Digital Publishing, leading up a major film release in the summer of 2014 from Red Sky Entertainment in association with Mind’s Eye Entertainment and UK based Moving Pictures Media. Several feature films based on the book series are planned.
Created by Robert Mandell and written by Rachel Roberts, the book series features four seemingly ordinary teenagers faced with extraordinary events happening in the woods behind their town. Fantastical animals, the last of their kind, have arrived looking for help to save their world from an evil sorceress. The teens must bond with the animals and learn to become protectors of magic.
Fans of the series will be familiar with the three young mages: Emily, Adriane and Kara, and their epic quest to open the Gates of Avalon and act as guardians to all magical creatures.
In partnership with Premier Digital Publishing, Rachel Roberts published the first six of the twelve books in the Avalon series in 2012. New eBook releases, beginning with Song of the Unicorn, will continue through 2013, with a super special Manga edition scheduled for release in August 2013. Young readers are embracing the series’ strong focus on ecological conservation, respect for all living creatures and the power of friendship.
In Avalon Web of Magic: Song of the Unicorns, mages and BFFs Emily, Adriane and Kara find themselves again under the threat of attack when they come across a herd of unicorns that are being hunted by a magic tracker. The three friends must harness their growing powers and strengthen their bonds of friendship to save the unicorns, elude the magic tracker and in doing so will finally gain a clue to open the very Gates of Avalon!
As the Harry Potter series did, Avalon Web of Magic (written for readers 8 and above) is engaging a wider audience among adults and YA fantasy genre readers, with its themes of magic, ecology and animal rights.
Song of the Unicorns (978-1-938582-61-5) is available now from Premier Digital Publishing for $2.99
