I am a reader, I feel like I always have been. I am constantly surrounded by books in both my personal and professional worlds.
I have read excessively since the second grade. I have attempted, again and again, to keep a list of the books I've read and how I felt about them but so far have been unsuccessful. This is an attempt to keep track of the books I'm reading, and my thoughts about them. My goal is to publish at least one review a week (no promises though). Wish me luck!
*Note, while I will try to avoid major spoilers, I sometimes won't be able to help it.

"Harry, a History: The True Story of a Boy Wizard, His Fans, and Life Inside the Harry Potter Phenomenon" by Melissa Anelli
It is no secret that I have a slight obsession with Harry Potter (believe me, I have calmed in the past few years. Prior to the release of the 7th book, I would go slightly insane at any mention of the boy wizard). I have always preferred Mugglenet to all other websites, but I have also spent a fair amount of time on The Leaky Cauldron's site as well. So it of course made sense that I snatched up Melissa Anelli's Harry, a History: The True Story of a Boy Wizard, His Fans, and Life Inside the Harry Potter Phenomenonimmediately. This book goes into detail of how Anelli fell into the series and ended as the webmistress of what is one of the most popular (if not the single most) popular Harry Potter website. It includes tales of going on tour with Harry and the Potters, Pottercast, movie premiers, and (best of all) meeting J. K. Rowling herself. Anelli has lived a life that all of us Potterheads wish we could experience. For years, her life revolved around all things Potter related, and this book covers it all!
This book is a fan's dream. It's full of personal experiences and thoughts about the Harry Potter series. While it's not what the cover may lead you to think (it is about Anelli's personal story, not an overall history of the Harry Potter phenomenon- though that would be a fun read as well), it is an interesting insight into the magical world we would all like to experience.
Happy Reading!

I truly believe that one cannot watch this video too many times....
